Makaylyn Kalani

Makaylyn Kealoha Kalani, 20, of Hawi, died March 27, 2017, at the Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 2, 1996, in Sacramento, Calif., she was a young rising film star.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. April 3 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, 199 Wainaku Street in Hilo. The family requests casual attire.

She is survived by her mother, Bernice Kalani of Kula, Maui; godfather, Douglas Wagner of Kula, Maui; sisters, Christine Tomiyasu of Oahu, and Angel Tadio of Honokaa; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kevin Kinoshita

Kevin Kinoshita, 48, of Mountain View died March 17, 2017. He was born Jan. 16, 1969, in Honolulu.

He is survived by mother; Nancy Kinoshita Sr.; brothers, Walter (Penny) Kinoshita Jr., Robert Kinoshita; sisters, Amelia (Maxwell) Tom, Harriet (Delmar Jr.) Schilling, Nancy (Peter) Abraham, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
